There are no translations available. Dear 2009 members,
Well, the holidays are over too quickly and its back to uni for another year. But never fear, the Melbourne University Italian Social Club is here to provide all the fun and excitement you need to survive another semester of university. The committee of the club has spent the summer coming with new ideas for events as well as tweaking old ideas, and we look forward to presenting them to members throughout the year. This year, the Italian Club is aiming to have more events, and is also aiming to hold events with other young Italian organisations in Melbourne. Already on the event agenda for this year are the obligatory coffee mornings (with a focus on Italian conversation) and pizza lunches, but also games nights, cultural events, a soccer tournament and other world cup themed events as well as the highlight of the year, the Italian Ball! We're also looking forward to the National Young Italian conference being held in Melbourne for the first time at the end of the year. Our first major event for the year will be a Bocce Tournament and Pizza Lunch to be held during week 3 - further details in a forthcoming email. Our membership prices haven't changed from last year, so it is still only $5 for Union members and $10 for non-Union members! And with your membership this year comes a voucher for a free coffee from our sponsor Brunetti (first 200 members) and a free club pen, as well as entry to club events and a discount on Ball tickets. So what are you waiting for? Come on and join the 145 people who have already signed up during OWeek for what promises to be an exciting year for the Italian Club in 2010! I hope that you will all consider re-joining the club in 2010 and I hope to see you at club events this year. |
