Dear members,
If you ever wanted to find out what goes on Italian Club Committee Meetings, or wanted to help organise and run club events, here is your opportunity!
First, the Italian Club is having a committee meeting this Monday 6 April between 9-11AM. This meeting is a rather special meeting for two reasons. First, we have decided to invite all members who are interested in how the club operates to participate in the meeting. Second, it is the first meeting that we are having completely online. So, if you would like to participate in discussions about what events we should have and how the club is run, please contact me at

Second, the Italian Club will, after the break, have a General Meeting for the purposes of electing a first year representative to the committee. So, if you are a first year University student (whether studying Italian or not), come to the meeting (date and time TBA) and nominate yourself or your friends - there's no need to let us know beforehand. Come and have a coffee with friends!
You are all invited to the first of what (hopefully) will be regular coffee and conversation mornings. Come and meet fellow Italian Club Members and have a coffee on the Club.
No need to speak Italian (though if you want to...)

Dear members,
It was fantastic to see so many people at our pizza lunch on Thursday. Not only was it a great opportunity to meet our new members, but also a chance to renew your membership and have a catch up after the holidays.
Hopefully our welcome back party this Friday will be equally successful in numbers, if not surpassing the hordes of people we seemed to sign up on Thursday. Please come along to really get to know the committee, welcome new faces and have a drink with old friends.
Friday 13th March 7:30pm – late Victor’s Bar 303 Drummond Street Carlton
Join us for a drink, nibblies and great company at our official start up party at the eccentric, and plush Victor’s Bar. Situated in the heart of Carlton/ Lygon Street, this is an opportunity to truly immerse yourself in a rich Italian setting. Free entry for members, so make sure you bring your cards along!

Dear Members,
Welcome back to what promises to be a fantastic year for the Italian Social Club. Our team have been working hard over the holidays brainstorming and planning events to launch the start of 2009, and beyond. A huge thank you to all of the current members who have already signed up, we look forward to your participation and involvement in the nurturing of the Italian language and culture in all its facets.
